From Protocol to EDC in Minutes: How AI Is Rewriting Clinical Study Start-Up
Presented by: Stacey Lasser, Senior Project Manager, Mednet
Study start-up remains one of the biggest bottlenecks in clinical trials, with manual EDC database setup consuming time, effort, and resources. This session shows how AI is changing that process. Attendees will see a demo of a tool that takes a CRF specification and automatically generates an EDC database setup. By translating protocol content directly into structured EDC components, the approach drastically reduces build timelines and improves alignment between protocol intent and data capture.
The session also highlights how automated protocol-to-EDC workflows enable faster updates, less rework, and greater agility when studies change. Finally, Stacey will touch on what this shift means for data managers.
